Introduction:
The Parliamentary Security Department (PSD) is responsible for physical and personnel security across both Houses of Parliament and provides support to Members and staff when away from the Estate. Its purpose is to keep Parliament safe and open for business.
PSD sets security strategy, provides expert advice and delivers an operational service. It does this in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and by working closely with the Parliamentary Estates Teams, Serjeant at Arms and Black Rod's office, Restoration & Renewal teams, the Parliamentary Digital Service, and other key stakeholders.
The Role:
Members' Security Support Service (MSSS) is part of the Parliamentary Security Department and we are currently looking to recruit two Service Delivery and Compliance Managers. The MSSS team fosters positive engagement with an emphasis on delivering great support to Members of Parliament. The team provides guidance, advice and support to members of both Houses and their staff, for security away from the parliamentary estate.
There are two available posts. Post 1 will manage the team that delivers security operatives for Members. Post 2 will be responsible for managing the team that delivers Cyber Security (through contractors) and other security provisions. The scope of both roles is likely to evolve and grow in the future as security requirements change.
