Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor/Fee Earner to join a highly respected and well-established claimant firm in Manchester, specialising in serious injury cases. This is a fantastic role for a personal injury lawyer looking to work with an experienced team handling complex and impactful cases.

About the Team:

Highly regarded Personal Injury division, recognised for its expertise and success in serious injury claims.

The Serious Injury team deals with a wide range of high-value, complex cases, including brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputations, and fatal accidents.

The team is well-established, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes.

The Role:

As part of the Serious Injury team, you will handle a diverse caseload of serious injury claims, working alongside experienced solicitors on complex matters. You will gain exposure to cases involving road traffic accidents, employer's liability, and public liability claims.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

1. Client interaction: Speaking with and providing legal advice to clients, offering support throughout their claims.
2. Evidence review: Assessing medical reports, witness statements, and other evidence to build strong cases.
3. Legal drafting: Preparing letters of instruction, court documents, and instructions to Counsel.
4. Court hearings: Attending conferences with Counsel and representing clients at court hearings, where required.

Key Requirements:

1. A minimum of 2 years' personal injury experience in claimant work, ideally with exposure to serious injury cases.
2. While prior experience with serious injury claims is preferred, candidates with strong personal injury backgrounds and a passion for this area will be considered.
3. Commitment to excellent client care and service, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy.
4. The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
5. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to scrutinise and fact-check internal reports and court documents.
6. Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle a busy caseload effectively.
7. A proactive attitude, with a genuine interest in career progression and developing your legal expertise.
