SEO Specialist

We are looking for a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist to join our successful company based just outside Cardiff. The role is hybrid with 2 days per week in the office.

We are seeking a skilled SEO Specialist to enhance our company's online presence and drive organic traffic to digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO strategies, keyword research, and on-page and off-page optimisation techniques within a business-to-business (B2B) environment. This role focuses on improving search engine rankings, increasing visibility, and delivering measurable improvements in organic performance and return on investment.

Duties

1. Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.
2. Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing opportunities and optimise content accordingly.
3. Monitor, analyse, and improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
4. Optimise website content, meta descriptions, title tags, and header tags to align with target keywords and best practices.
5. Ensure website pages follow technical SEO guidelines, including proper URL structures, image optimisation, and internal linking.
6. Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly blogs, landing pages, and other digital content.
7. Develop and implement link-building strategies to improve domain authority and organic visibility.
8. Manage an SEO agency to support backlink strategies and ensure the acquisition of high-quality links.
9. Conduct regular website audits to identify and resolve technical issues affecting SEO performance.
10. Collaborate with web developers to implement technical improvements and site architecture enhancements.
11. Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and other SEO platforms to track, measure, and report on SEO performance.
12. Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to improve organic performance.
13. Prepare regular reports on KPIs, including traffic, rankings, and conversions.

Skills needed:

1. Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, with a strong focus on organic search performance.
2. Demonstrated experience in a business-to-business setting is essential.
3. In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
4. Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms.
5. Strong technical SEO skills, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics.
6. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
8. Experience collaborating with content, design, and development teams.
9. Knowledge of local SEO strategies and practices.
10. Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
11. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on SEO experience.
12. Google Analytics certification is a plus.
