Are you ready to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable young people?
We're looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker who's not only experienced and resilient but also passionate about helping children and young people turn their lives around.

At our Secure Children's Home in Leeds, you'll take a lead role in guiding a dedicated care team, supporting 10 to 18-year-olds with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Whether placed with us for their own safety or due to court proceedings, each young person deserves the chance to heal, grow, and thrive - and that journey starts with people like you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Practitioner, you'll be more than a support worker - you'll be a mentor, coach, and positive role model. You'll:
  1. Lead and support a team of care practitioners to deliver safe, trauma-informed care
  2. Help shape young lives through restorative practice and daily engagement
  3. Work alongside the Team Manager to ensure operational excellence and best practice
  4. Manage staff performance, recruitment, and professional development
  5. Promote emotional well-being, education, and independence among our young people
  6. Oversee key working and risk management to protect and empower those in our care
  7. Create engaging activities and meaningful daily experiences for young people

Who We're Looking For

We want people who genuinely care and aren't afraid of a challenge. You'll need to be:
  1. Empathetic and resilient, with a natural ability to connect with young people
  2. A confident leader, ready to supervise staff and drive positive change
  3. Self-aware and reflective, able to recognise your impact on others
  4. Adaptable, with the flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

Essential experience & skills:

  1. Previous experience in a residential childcare setting
  2. Ability to support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs
  3. Supervisory experience and a passion for mentoring others
  4. Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or willingness to complete - we'll fund it!)
  5. Understanding of child development, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care
  6. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

What We Offer You

  1. Competitive salary + secure allowance & enhancements for sleep-ins/weekends
  2. Generous annual leave + bank holidays
  3. Fully funded qualifications and training
  4. Clear career progression into senior roles and management
  5. Ongoing personal and professional development
  6. The chance to make a real difference, every single day

Our mission?
To help young people develop the attitudes, skills, and emotional resilience they need to lead safe, fulfilling lives - free from harm, exploitation, and offending.

Are you ready to be part of that mission? Apply now and be the change a young person needs.

Apply today and help shape a brighter future.
