Job description

Thames Valley Police Welfare Team is expanding to include an exciting new opportunity of Senior Welfare Officer. Providing line management to the Welfare Officers and ensuring a comprehensive welfare service continues to be delivered to Officers and Staff across the Organisation. Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide appropriate and timely support, including counselling services and trauma intervention.


The successful candidate will have recent and relevant leadership and management experience, including managing and developing teams effectively and strong performance management skills. You will have excellent communication, listening and empathy skills, including an ability to learn or to have skills in the following areas - stress and trauma, bereavement, finance and debt, relationships and delivery of mandatory psychological screening. Individuals will need to be able to travel across the Force.
