Senior Warehouse Operative

Kinetic Recruitment are looking to recruit a Senior Warehouse Operator with immediate starts to work for a leading manufacturing company based in Widnes.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm
Flexibility required due to business needs to be able to follow shifts.

Salary: £15.92 per hour (£33,000 per annum)
6 months fixed contract.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to control all warehouse, packing and blending operations in a safe and efficient manner and to pack and blend product in accordance with business requirements, complying with the relevant Quality Assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. To operate appropriate packaging/blending/tanker loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
2. To ensure all warehouse workers have been allocated with daily tasks.
3. To carry out associated warehousing duties including the loading and unloading of vehicles on site.
4. To be proactive in the control of packaging/blending and tanker loading equipment.
5. To carry out in process checks to ensure product packaging conformance meets set conformance targets.
6. To produce timely and accurate data entry on both computer and in manual, written logs.
7. To execute all operational duties through the use of scan guns ensuring accurate data entry.
8. To assist with stock check activities in the warehouse of goods and packaging.
9. To be fully flexible in the use of skills and competencies on their own and other plant operations.
10. To liaise with tradesmen, QC, Process Technologist, logistics, etc. where necessary.
11. To undertake tasks outside main area of skill and competence under TEST principles.

Requirements

1. FLT counterbalance - must be a valid external licence.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Team leading/supervisory experience within warehouse environment.
4. Working accurately to site policies, practices and legislative requirements.
5. Flexible approach with a capacity to work well and maintain performance levels under pressure.
