Senior Warehouse Operative

Monday – Friday (7am – 4pm with an hour unpaid break) Alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm

Our Avonmouth branch are now seeking a Senior Warehouse Operative!

You’ll support the Regional Manager in achieving the highest standards of business performance and, working collaboratively with the Supervisor, you’ll organise the daily operational activities required. Predominantly performing standard operatives’ responsibilities, you’ll also support with leadership alongside the Managerial team.

Daily activities include:

• Organising daily plans/rotas
• Responding to customer queries via phone/email
• Goods in process from Redditch
• Nil Stock customer notifications
• Processing customer same day/next day requirements
• Quality control, minor rectification work, and reporting of all issues to Line Manager
• Processing stock write-offs/adjustments
• All activities are to be performed to the site's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
• High focus on Health & Safety within the branch
• Always maintaining a professional appearance, in both presence and driving behaviour
• Booking orders for customers

We’re looking for someone who has a broad and thorough understanding of all processes (SOPs) within UKW, strong SAP knowledge, and good IT skills, with the ability to use Outlook & Excel. You’ll be a strong communicator with good verbal and written skills, have excellent attention to detail, and be a constructive problem solver. Able to work effectively as part of a team, you’ll have good planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.

You’ll hold a full UK driving licence, FLT licence, and have proven driving experience, including experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit). With strong knowledge of the Automotive industry and products, you’ll have good geographical understanding of the region operating in and be willing to learn and participate in additional projects within NSG as they arise.

Salary & Benefits:

• 40 hours per week
• £28,946 per annum
• 28 days holiday per annum, inclusive of public holidays, plus an additional holiday for each year of service up to a maximum of 5 years.
