Looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is revolutionising the medical industry? Look no further than FundamentalVR! As a global pioneer in immersive VR surgical skills training and performance data, we are changing the way surgeons are trained and lowering the surgical risk to patients with our patented HapticVRTM technology.
With our unique hardware-agnostic platform, surgeons can be trained in any setting, at any time, anywhere in the world, without the need for costly and resource-intensive wet labs, animal testing, or cadavers. Join us at FundamentalVR and be part of the future of medical training and patient care!
We are looking for a creative, experienced, and technical XR design professional to join a small team of Product Design and Medical Education professionals.
You'll design training experience features, flows and interfaces that meet the needs of our customers, specify them, and work with our engineers to implement them in Unity. You'll be responsible for the visual implementation of the UI and learn how to use the no-code and visual scripting tools in our SDK to craft engaging interactions.
Alongside these efforts on products in development, you will also play a part in our initiatives and in pitching new products to our customers. Our initiatives improve our SDK and learning dashboard, creating new, modular features to extend our offering.
This role has been created for you to work with our team to conceptualise, prototype, and then craft the exceptional education, feel, and interaction design our users deserve. Alongside your efforts on products in development, you'll be involved in the delivery of customer-facing SDKs, internal tools, modular feature roadmaps, demos, prototyping kits, and an interactive UI design system whilst contributing to our technical design roadmap.
Always hands-on, in the initial phases of a project, you'll be translating initial customer requirements and user needs into well-mapped and understood high-level experience flows, leveraging the best use of creative technology solutions you've identified. You'll be thinking about and conceptualising experiential issues in the details or scope, and bringing clever alternatives and interaction ideas to the table.
When early development is underway you will be creating the detailed user flows, collaborating on the creation of rapid prototypes for features and interface elements, blocking out the experience, assisting with the specification process, fleshing out the interface and interactions alongside engineers focusing on the systems and simulation features, and working with the medical education team to create concise and clear instructions and guidance for the user.
By the time products are nearly ready, you will be polishing and perfecting the interactions alongside engineers until it works, looks and feels just right, helping refine educational clarity, delight, and engagement where you can. Looking back, you'll have identified opportunities to improve Unity tools and workflows or our design system. After all is complete, you might then be involved in scoping and defining improvements to them before your next project.
