Amazon Kindle team is looking for an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric team player to help us continue to revolutionize how customers buy and read books. The ideal candidate has a track record of strong negotiation, relationship building, and analytical skills, ability to recommend and execute a vision, and build programs and features from the ground up. You will be able to influence across multiple company organizations, be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker and have a history of delivering results. You will establish and drive new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with publishers. You will be customer focused, entrepreneurial, a proven self-starter, and have the demonstrated ability to invent.

Responsibilities:

  1. Be an expert relationship manager and communicator, who works closely with publishers up to C-level to ensure Amazon customers can find any book in our store, download it quickly at a great price and have an excellent experience reading it.
  2. Be responsible for specific publisher level metrics around selection, subscription participation, and profitability.
  3. Become an ebooks expert who understands industry trends, the competitive environment and readers' needs - and innovates in response.
  4. Work closely with leaders across the Kindle organization - locally and globally - to ensure we continue to develop new services and products.
  5. Identify opportunities for innovation and automation.

This position can be based at London.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Strategic management of key publishers.
  2. Defining category strategy/vision and executing it with stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree, or experience in a professional field or military.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
  3. Experience with Excel.
  4. Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying.
  5. Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  6. Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  7. Experience with business analysis and P&L management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Fluency in French.
