Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI Programmer to join the team working on WARDOGS, our Multiplayer All Out Warfare Shooter.

This is an in-studio role, and this is non-negotiable; however, we can offer bespoke relocation packages. Currently, we are unable to offer any visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

1. Take the lead on features and help drive development forward.
2. Mentor and upskill more junior team members.
3. Work alongside the designers to create UI systems for various areas of the game.
4. Implement UI features in Unreal Engine using a mix of C++ and Unreal Blueprints.
5. Work with UI Artists to implement and polish UI features.
6. Identify any technical obstacles whilst finding creative solutions.
7. Ensure UI features are optimized and performant.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Solid understanding of all UI/UX fundamentals.
2. UE4/UE5 Experience.
3. Background in software development and C++ development.
4. Knowledge of using Unreal Engine.
5. Familiarity with UMG, layout, control widgets, and event-driven programming.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Experience working on FPS games.
2. Understanding of the Model-View-ViewModel pattern.
3. Knowledge of UI materials and other optimization methods such as invalidation.
