Our client is currently seeking a Senior Strategic Transport Planner to join their team on a contract basis.

Important

Sound experience developing transport strategies is essential for developing and delivering comprehensive transport strategies that will shape the future mobility landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and delivering area-based transport studies, including marketing, communication, and engagement.
• Creating transport strategies, such as the client's Transport Strategy and contributing to the development of the WYLTP.
• Contributing to the development of Mass Transit and the Southern Gateway.
• Conducting strategic transport modelling.
• Developing schemes, including business case development and input.
• Supporting the development of the Local Plan.
• Providing public transport advice on bus services, quality contracts, rail service and station development, and MRT development.
• Offering transport policy input to planning applications.

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in transportation planning.
• Strong understanding of strategic transport modelling.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver transport strategies and schemes.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to provide coherent transport policy input to planning applications.
• Experience in supporting the development of local plans.
