Job Description
The successful Senior Test Manager will be responsible for:
Liaising with developers and project managers, ensuring the timely delivery of the multiple projects.
Developing and owning the overarching test strategy and approach.
Defining and implementing robust test plans, schedules, and resource allocation for multiple workstreams.
Overseeing and coordinating all phases of testing (Unit, SIT, UAT, Performance, Regression, and End-to-End).
Leading a diverse team of testers, both internal and external, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
Ensuring all testing activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, particularly in the finance sector.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating testing risks, ensuring minimal impact on programme delivery.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Test Manager will possess:
Proven experience as a Senior Test Manager on large-scale, complex Finance Transformation programmes, ideally IFRS17 and/or IFRS9.
Strong knowledge of finance systems (e.g. D365, Aptitude) and an understanding of finance processes (e.g., GL, AP, AR, FP&A).
Expertise in defining and managing test strategies, plans, and execution across multiple workstreams.
Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing and motivating large, diverse testing teams.
Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement (e.g. DevOps, JIRA).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior executives.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to finance transformation projects.
What's on Offer
£600 - £800 per day (rate to umbrella) dependent on experience. This role will require travel to the clients' offices in London on a frequent basis and cannot be offered as remote. This role is inside scope of IR35.
