Job description

Grade A: £52,737 (National Framework) or £58,409 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25)
There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home.

Contracted Hours: Full time 37 hours per week. We may also be able to offer part time hours or a variety of flexible working patterns.

Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months)

Location: We can offer homeworking, office-based working or talk to us about flexible working.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Test Manager to join our Technology Change Delivery team.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the delivery of test management to multiple CQC technology products and IT projects.
  • Oversee the testing process of products or systems to ensure they meet quality standards before release.
  • Develop and implement the overall testing policy, process, capability and strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and requirements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the CQC testing teams.
  • Establish and maintain a quality and continuous improvement culture within the testing, change technology and delivery function.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop testing professionals.
  • Manage team performance, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback.

What you will bring…

This position involves overseeing an organization's testing framework, policy, processes and teams, requiring a strategic mindset and technical expertise.

The ideal candidate for this role will;

  • Have a strong ability to lead, inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Have knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including automation and performance testing.
  • Can assess complex situations, identify key issues, and develop effective testing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate testing outcomes and influence decisions.
  • Possess a proactive approach to identifying issues and driving resolutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Have the flexibility to adapt testing strategies to evolving programme and project requirements and business priorities.
