Senior Technical Writer

As we expand our product portfolio and global presence, our Engineering department is hiring a Senior Technical Writer.

In this role you will:

1. Plan and create new product-focused technical content for administrators, end-users, and internal employees by collaborating with Nozomi’s cross-functional group of subject-matter experts, including Engineering, Product, Support, and Solution Engineering teams.
2. Help drive strategy to develop, write, and maintain technical content, including procedures, conceptual prose, reference material, tables, and images.
3. Maintain and revise documents mirroring the evolution of Nozomi’s products – Vantage, CMC, and Guardian.
4. Partner closely with subject matter experts to ensure that the product documentation is intuitive, simple to maintain, and of the highest quality.
5. Engage with Nozomi Support and customers to understand the Nozomi product experience. Advocate for users by providing UX and feature design input and feedback.

Requirements:

1. Skills and abilities comparable to 10+ years in technical publications as a primary contributor creating product documentation for enterprise software solutions.
2. Familiarity with oXygen XML Author, Dita XML, and Git.
3. Working knowledge of topic-based authoring and multi-channel publishing.
4. Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical content within deadlines and with minimal editorial support.
5. Ability to build rapport with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Support, and Solutions Engineering teams.
6. Exemplary communication skills (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills that facilitate information-gathering tasks.
7. Fluency in written and spoken English.
8. Ability to create consensus among differing perspectives.
9. Ability to operate in settings with strong confidentiality and data privacy protocols.

Nice to have:

1. Experience in the field of OT/IoT/IT cybersecurity.
2. Experience with issue-tracking software such as YouTrack, Jira, or similar.
3. Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in a related field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, English, or Literature.
