Job description

SENIOR TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER - HIGH END PROJECTS

A leading high end construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Services Manager. This is a great opportunity to join a tight-knit team based in Angel with projects in Central London up to £30m. The Senior Technical Services Manager will have the chance to work on very high-end luxury projects. A genuine company, very stable with a great pipeline of work for the Senior Technical Services Manager.

They would also consider Technical Services Manager along with Senior Technical Services Manager.

Duties:
  1. Provide MEP Technical Services support across all aspects of the project from Pre-tender through to Testing, Commissioning, Demonstrations, Handover and Practical Completion.
  2. Lead by example and take full ownership of the MEP Technical Services packages whilst reporting to the Project/Contracts Manager (PM/CM), who has overall responsibility for the project.
  3. Lead in the production of MEP Project Programmes (Design, Pre-construction, Drawing Production, Procurement, Installation, Testing & Commissioning, Handover and Practical Completion).
  4. Identify commercial and contractual risks associated with MEP challenges and changes.
  5. Actively participate in the overall successful delivery of the project, providing solutions to MEP problems and clearly demonstrating a can-do approach to the PM/CM.
  6. Maintain relationships with our MEP supply chain including sub-contractors and suppliers - regularly reviewing their performance on site and actioning as necessary.
  7. Support with managing the client relationship and expectations with the PM/CM from start to finish.
  8. Chair and minute MEP meetings externally with the client team.
  9. Ensure all site RAMS are being adhered to by the MEP Sub-contractors and they are working in a safe manner.
  10. Assist the PM/CM to manage the construction programme throughout the life cycle of the project including regular progress updates/droplines - particularly all MEP aspects of the project.
  11. Monitor MEP site activities to ensure maximum efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  12. Monitor all MEP issues and any non-conformances raised by the site management team.
  13. Keep stakeholders up to speed with any MEP project issues.
  14. Attend internal meetings with all departments as necessary and ensure a collaborative approach is maintained by all teams.
  15. Manage MEP sub-contractor works on site ensuring works are safely completed in line with the programme and to the required high quality that EES expects.
  16. Chair on-site MEP progress and coordination meetings with sub-contractors and record any relevant actions.
  17. Monitor and report on MEP financials on the project in partnership with the lead QS.
  18. QS/commercial interaction.
  19. Ensure Company Procedures, 14001 Environmental, 9001 Quality and Statutory H&S Regulations are enforced.
  20. Timely production of the Testing & Commissioning programme noting in particular any challenging interfaces between systems including AV, Lighting Control, BMS, Security, CCTV and the like.

Must have experience working on high end/super prime/luxury projects.
