The Role
As a result of internal promotions and team expansion, we are looking to hire a Senior Technical Project Manager. You will be responsible for delivering a broad range of technical projects internally and for our external clients. These will range in scope, complexity, duration and size according to the specific projects – giving a great variety to the role. In order to be successful, you will need to demonstrate leadership in pursuit of technical solutions and novel ideas, have a hands-on approach to problem solving and ultimately manage projects against time, budget and client expectations.
The position is largely based in our Cambridge office; however, you will have the opportunity for some travel UK-wide, within Europe or the United States.

- Manage risks, opportunities and expectations, ensuring technical leads and internal stakeholders are consulted.
- Contribute to proposals for new projects and identify additional project opportunities.
- Work with other project managers to balance the workload for all.
- Comfortable communicating effectively and sensitively at all levels within the business.
- Strong organisation skills and demonstrate ability to achieve results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Participation in activities as part of our corporate responsibility program Watermark.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical or Scientific degree or background and experience.
- Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Project Management qualification(s) are desirable but not essential.
- Experience of project management tools and methodologies would be an advantage; however, this is not as important as the correct approach to complex challenges.
