Job description

Title: Senior Systems and Software Development Engineer

Location: Coventry. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you'll be doing:

Working within a small Team to:

  1. Develop system requirements and refine them using modelling and simulation
  2. Produce models of the system design compatible with the downstream software generation process
  3. Test and assess the models of the design against the requirements, and produce the associated documentation evidence
  4. Create supporting behavioural models of interfacing systems, submarine dynamics and operating environment to aid in validation of the system requirements
  5. Liaise with stakeholders both internal and external to the wider AVC Team, including the Customer and operators
  6. Manage tasks and report progress for your work in line with the AVC Agile System of Work

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  1. Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink toolset
  2. Requirements development and analysis
  3. Model Based Design and Systems Engineering approaches

Desirable:

  1. Experience working with submarines or aerospace, automotive industries
  2. Knowledge of vehicle control
