The Role

As the Senior Surgical Nurse to Prof Nick Bacon, you’ll play a key role in our surgical team, working alongside world-class specialists and a dedicated nursing team to deliver the highest standards of patient care. You will:

  1. Ensure our clients receive a five-star service supporting their patient journey with scheduling and follow-up support.
  2. Assist in the planning of complex surgical procedures and perioperative patient management.
  3. Perform and conduct advanced anaesthesia monitoring with the support of our anaesthesia team.
  4. Support and train junior nurses and students.
  5. Contribute to the development of surgical protocols and best practices.
  6. Maintain and advance your clinical skills in a collaborative environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with significant surgical experience
Strong teamwork and leadership skills
Passion for mentoring and supporting others
Ability to problem solve and work efficiently in a fast-paced, referral setting

Desirable – Advanced Nursing qualification

The Package

  • £34,500 to £37,000 pa depending on qualifications.
  • Four-day working week; 24 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays increasing to 26.5 days after 3 years’ service.
