Job description

Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Accrington
Salary: £42,739.20 - £45,158.40 per annum

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • A solid understanding of Children's Home Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Familiarity with the Ofsted process and comprehensive knowledge of current Children's Legislation
  • Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with EBD/SEMH/CSE, and the support services required to meet their needs
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead on shift
  • Good character, integrity, and resilience to meet the challenges of this role

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3/4 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including sleep-ins
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Residential Children’s Services sector or a similar setting working with children with challenging behaviour (desirable)
  • At least 1 year of experience leading shifts in a children’s residential setting (desirable)
  • Completion of our Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training, which covers trauma understanding, de-escalation techniques, communication skills, and safety interventions, including restrictive holds.
