An established industry player is seeking a Senior Subsea Project Engineer to lead and coordinate various subsea projects from design to commissioning. This role involves managing technical, engineering, and commercial aspects while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in subsea systems and project management, with the ability to mentor junior team members. The Senior Subsea Project Engineer will be reporting to the Subsea Engineering Manager and will be responsible to carry out and coordinate the completion of various Projects, from basic design to final commissioning. They will be involved in all technical, engineering, and commercial parts of the Project.
The Senior Subsea Project Engineer shall have strong experience in SPS and Subsea XT design. They will be accountable for the delivery of safe, efficient, reliable, and compliant operations for subsea systems installed in one or more of our operating assets and in line with relevant codes and standards.
Depending on the project assigned, the Senior Subsea Project Engineer may manage a team, as applicable, of Subsea Engineers/Specialists responsible for various functions within the Subsea team as well as several external vendors/suppliers.
The individual is expected to be accountable to coordinate all technical, engineering, commercial, and project control parts during the development of Subsea projects. The role will require international travel to interface with the subsidiaries.
The position is based in London.

Support and enforce Trident Energy’s HSEQ objectives and directives.
Risk prioritization of area identified risks and mitigation measures.
Participation in the HAZID/HAZOP/Risk Assessments & provide input from Subsea Operations point of view.
Promote HSEQ awareness of workforce and contractors and ensure that HSE is given the highest priority.
Listen to, evaluate any project team member’s concerns; ensure that potential failures, weaknesses, and hazards are immediately addressed and reported.
Conduct alignment sessions for project management team members with respect to objectives.
In-depth technical & engineering knowledge of Subsea Systems (mainly XTs and SPS systems plus Structures, Controls, Umbilical, Risers, and Flowlines) in Deepwater Projects in all project phases (design, tender, construction/testing, and installation).
IT Skills: AutoCAD, MS Suite.
Able to maintain focus under pressure.
Methodical.
Open-minded and willing to challenge the industry.
Available for regular field visits / fieldwork.
Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, with 7+ years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
Ideally from one of the following specialties: Subsea Production System, Subsea Well intervention, Subsea Flowline, Subsea Integrity Management, Subsea Flexible flowline/Risers, Subsea Control System, Subsea ROV operations, Subsea Construction.
Exposure to subsea intervention work, familiar with work class ROV operations and associated standards ROV tools used.
Experiences from both contractor and operator side are welcomed.
