Senior Structurer Credit & Surety (80 - 100%)

About the Role

As a Senior Structurer, you will be responsible for underwriting complex structured finance transactions across a variety of sectors (e.g., corporate finance, project and infrastructure finance, trade finance) and geographies, as well as for sourcing new opportunities through a well-established client and broker network.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve taking ownership for the end-to-end execution of the transactions by:

• Conducting due diligence, including review of legal documentation, financial modelling, financial statements assessment, and sector research.
• Redacting credit memoranda addressed to senior management.
• Engaging with other teams within the organization, including legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure that transactions meet the organization's standards and guidelines.
• Monitoring transactions post-closing.

About the Team

The Credit & Surety team aims at taking credit risk positions by providing risk transfer solutions to leading international banks. You will be working with a very engaged and collaborative team of experienced finance professionals. As part of the build-out of the team, we are looking for a Senior Structurer reporting to the Lead Structurer.

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Engineering, or similar.
• You have at least 7 years' experience with a bank or other financial institution in structured finance or corporate finance.
• You have an excellent understanding of assessing credit obligors across a wide range of industries and structures.
• You have strong presentation skills with an ability to articulate clearly and concisely the aspects of complex transactions.
• You can evaluate and take a position on transactions and defend views.
• You are an inclusive team player with a 'hands-on' approach.
• You have a solution-oriented mentality and enjoy a high-performance collaborative culture.
