An established industry player is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer for a 2-3 year project focused on innovative offshore platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the energy sector, particularly within oil and gas and renewables. You will be involved in structural analysis, stress analysis, and working with non-conventional structures. Experience in structural engineering within offshore industry, ideally oil and gas.
Proficient in STAAD Pro and familiar with Eurocode standards.

Conduct structural analysis of innovative offshore platforms.
Work on stress analysis, FEM analysis, and structural specifications.

Structural Engineer - 2-3 Year Project (Outside IR35)

Commutable from Cardiff, Bristol, Newport, Gloucester

£30.00 - £35.00 per hour

Monday - Friday (09:00 to 17:30)

Are you a structural engineer with experience in STAAD looking for an exciting new opportunity with guaranteed work for 2-3 years?

Do you have experience in offshore structural projects, and are looking to work on industry first, innovative technologies within the energy sector?

This is the chance to work with a consultancy firm who specialise in innovative offshore structural solutions to the oil and gas, marine, defence and offshore renewable energy markets. Their portfolio covers projects up to 80 million and are trusted across the globe.

The Role:

Structural analysis of innovative offshore platforms.
Working on non-conventional and innovative structures.
Stress analysis, FEM analysis, physical modelling, structural specifications, and more.
Working on new platform technology in the oil and gas and renewables industry.
2/3 Year Project length.
Office based.

The Candidate:

Experience in structural engineering within any offshore industry, ideally within oil and gas.
Proficient in STAAD Pro.
Experience in stress analysis, structural design, structure exposure analysis, etc.
Familiar with Eurocode 2, 3, and 7 - along with API RP2A - Fixed offshore Platforms as a preference.
