Senior Strategic People Partner

Permanent opportunity

Remote working available with regular travel to offices and services across the UK

Salary: up to £75,000 plus car allowance

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading national housing provider to resource a Senior Strategic People Partner and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the People strategy within the Care and Housing sector. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an innovative leader eager to align people initiatives with business objectives, drive cultural evolution, and enhance organisational performance.

This role is a key part of the Senior People Leadership Team. You'll report directly to the Director of People & Culture and collaborate closely with Senior Strategic Partners (SSPs) to create and execute a transformative People strategy that is aligned to the Care directorate.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and implementing a transformative People strategy aligned with business objectives.
  2. Linking HR initiatives with overarching goals to drive organisational success.
  3. Providing line management and direction to the Strategic People Partner and matrix project teams.
  4. Establishing strong partnerships with senior leaders to ensure quality business partnering and stakeholder satisfaction.
  5. Managing workload and resource allocation across the wider Business Partnering service to meet business priorities.
  6. Lead organisational projects within the People Strategy and represent the People function at Board and Committee levels.
  7. Conduct horizon scanning to identify risks, opportunities, and innovative solutions.
  8. Utilise business and people expertise to enhance performance through talent management, leadership development, and change management.
  9. Lead change initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new strategies, systems and processes.
  10. Create effective communication and engagement plans to ensure alignment within the People Directorate.

What you will bring:
  1. Proven experience as a senior HR professional, ideally in a social care, housing or similar organisation.
  2. A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the care and housing sectors.
  3. Extensive experience in organisational development, strategic partnership and business transformation including leading complex change initiatives.
  4. Experience in using data to inform decision making and optimise organisational performance.
  5. Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of influencing senior leaders.
