We’re looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join us at Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) currently rated “Good” by the CQC. We are a world-leading clinical trials facility specializing in the development of new therapies such as targeted and precision medication for cancer patients.
As the research arm of HCA's global cancer institute, we are the first UK trials unit outside of the NHS that has the ability to offer new anti-cancer drugs in clinical trials. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be working in a supportive, experienced Clinical Research Team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating expert research nursing care. You will support patients who have been or have the potential to be recruited onto a clinical trial program. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients are cared for in a safe, caring, and comfortable environment, meeting their medical, physical, and emotional needs by effectively communicating with the patient and their families.
The Senior Staff Nurse will play a key role in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department safeguards the well-being of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in conjunction with the other members of the team.
