My client have been in the business of database support, advice and consultancy for approaching 25 years and are now looking to add someone to their SQL DBA team which is currently 9 strong.

They provide data management services for all popular database platforms, their underlying servers, and those hosted in the Cloud

Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance
• Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity
• Collaborate with development teams to design and maintain database schemas and structures
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance database management processes

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior SQL Database Administrator or similar role
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• In-depth knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
• Experience with database security, monitoring tools, and automation scripts.

Salary

They offer a competitive salary of up to £65,000
