Senior Specialist, Third Party Risk Management

Our client, Vanguard Asset Management, is seeking a Senior Specialist in Third Party Risk Management to join their team in Manchester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage relationships with UKPI third party vendors and maintain strong internal control frameworks for vendor performance, cost management, risk assessments, and service governance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring vendor service arrangements meet regulatory and enterprise standards.

What you'll do:

  1. Manage relationships with UKPI third party vendors, primarily those performing outsourced operations.
  2. Maintain strong internal control frameworks for vendor performance, cost management, risk assessments, and service governance.
  3. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor service arrangements meet regulatory and enterprise standards.
  4. Lead in the monitoring, reporting, and development of control and oversight strategies.
  5. Coordinate and support the development and execution of Third-Party assessments.
  6. Evaluate financial data to ensure Vanguard obtains the highest value and expected returns on investment.

What you'll bring:

  1. Three to five years related work experience.
  2. Strong understanding of operations, and applicable regulations and law related to retail investing.
  3. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  4. Ability to build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining vendor performance dashboards, management reports, and executive summaries.
  6. Knowledge of risk and control topics.
