Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Practical Law Private Client (Scots Law)

We are seeking an experienced Scots Private Client lawyer to join the Practical Law Private Client team in the UK.

Practical Law is a leading online know-how service providing rigorous, peer-reviewed resources, such as practice notes, current awareness and standard documents to help legal professionals work smarter and advise with confidence. About the role
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor in Practical Law Private Client (Scots law) you will use your specialist knowledge of advising on private client matters in Scotland to provide and maintain a wide range of Practical Law content. Working in a supportive team of highly experienced colleagues, you will deal with a breadth of interesting legal and editorial work including:

  • Creating new and maintaining existing materials spanning a variety of formats.
  • Commissioning, reviewing and editing content written internally and externally.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Private Client team and engaging with customers.
  • Engaging with the wider Thomson Reuters editorial teams, liaising with sales, marketing, product management, technology and segment functions where necessary.

About you

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Substantial post qualification experience in Scots law private client.
  • Dual-qualification England and Wales (E&W) or at least with significant knowledge and experience of E&W law private client.
  • A demonstrable interest and ability in writing.
  • In-depth understanding of trusts and estates law.
