Job description
- Working with RDBMS PostgreSQL and Oracle for application development, database placement, design tuning, DDL promotion, and upgrades.
- Ideally SQL Server in addition to one of the above.
- Designs, constructs, and oversees complex databases.
- Develop database solutions, analyze structural requirements, and experience in designing conceptual and logical data models.
- Self-motivated and willing to pick up new database challenges.
- Ideally demonstrable exposure to NoSQL technology (Couchbase, Cassandra).
- Graduate or postgraduate qualifications, ideally with experience in a financial company (fintech).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Jira, Rally, Kanban, Confluence) is preferred.
- DevOps skills (GIT, Liquibase); cloud exposure and knowledge of Ansible and Terraform are a bonus.
- Ability to think outside the box and not depend solely on runbooks.
- Team player.
- May be required to work outside normal working hours if needed.
