We have fantastic opportunities for 2 talented Senior Sous Chefs to join our superb team at St James' Park in Newcastle. We are looking for proven relevant experience of catering to high volumes and fine-dining experience.

St James’ Park is home to Newcastle United Football Club. The jewel in the crown of the city of Newcastle, St James' Park boasts one of the largest, state-of-the-art meeting, conference and banqueting facilities in the North East and is perfect for all types of events.

Main Responsibilities


What you’ll do:

  1. To act as Sous Chef, assisting the Exec Chef with responsibility for all aspects of planning, organising and communicating within all kitchen departments.
  2. Assist the Exec Chef in building a motivated team by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
  3. Leading the junior team in the kitchen, the Sous Chef must be an engaging coach and advisor, motivating and helping to develop the team.
  4. Create a culture of passion and enthusiasm for the preparation and service of food.
  5. Cultivate an excellent working partnership with all other departments.
  6. Assist in providing food that not only exceeds our guest expectations in flavour, substance and presentation, but is also in line with agreed company & legal standards.

Package Description


£30,000 + excellent bonus and benefits
Location: Newcastle United Football Club
Permanent
Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw 5/7 to include matchdays evenings and weekends.
