Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Solar Project Manager located in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a flexible working environment. The Senior Solar Project Manager will oversee the planning, construction, and delivery of large-scale solar and BESS projects in the UK. Key responsibilities include coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and optimising logistics and resource management. The candidate must have a proven track record in delivering utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects (ideally 50MW+). The role also involves regular inspection and expediting tasks to ensure the smooth progression of projects, including management of a full project lifecycle from ready-to-build to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Project Management skills with experience in delivering large-scale projects (50MW+)
• Grid liaison, management of grid connection agreements (G99 process, TEC, BEGA/BELLA agreements) including collaboration with Grid and other DNOs
• Logistics Management skills for efficient resource allocation and project continuity
• EPC & Contractor Management with direct oversight of contractor selection, contract execution, and construction oversight
• Financial & Budget Control management of large CAPEX budgets, tracking expenditures and reporting to project finance teams
• HSE & Risk Management, implementation of robust health, safety, and environmental standards in line with CDM 2015 and ISO 14001
• Stakeholder Management, building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, regulatory bodies, and local communities
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
