Our software group is responsible for supporting and bringing out the best in the hardware we design as well as working with our hardware engineers to make things even better. Job Overview:

We are looking to welcome aSenior Software Engineerinto our growing team, based inCambridge.

Our team develops simulations of Arm’s next-generation technologies—known asFast Models—that enable the developer ecosystem to write softwareyears before actual hardware exists. These high-performance models are essential for enabling software development acrossembedded devices, client computing, and high-performance systems.

Arm is looking for ahighly skilled and motivated engineerto contribute to themodelling of innovative technologiesthat will power future computing systems.

We usemodern, industry-standard tools and techniques, valuethe art of great code reviews, arepassionate about testingthrough automated continuous integration, and take pride incollaboratingto achieve our best work.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on varied projects at all stages of thesoftware development lifecycle, fromdesign through to implementation and testing.
  • Develop highly efficientC++ modelsof theMali product lines, includingGPUs, NPUs, ISPs, and more.
  • Collaborate closely withother Arm teamsto ensure model accuracy and integration into software workflows.
  • Improve modelperformance, scalability, and usability, helping optimize virtual prototyping solutions.
  • Contribute tocode reviews, testing strategies, and continuous integrationto maintain high-quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience :
  • Strong hands-on experience withModern C++(C++11/14/17/20).
  • Knowledge ofsoftware methodologies, tools, and processes, includingcode review best practices.
  • Experience withautomated test frameworksto maintain functionality and performance.
  • Acreative and structuredapproach to problem-solving.
  • Acurious and inquisitive mindset, with a passion forcontinuous learning and self-improvement.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
  • Understanding ofhardware and software architectures of a System-on-Chip (SoC).
  • Experience withGPU architectureand modeling.
  • Familiarity withvirtual prototyping tools such asFast Models, QEMU, Simics, or Gem5.
