As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining our cloud-native architecture, building scalable Python APIs, and shaping the future of AI-driven financial data solutions.

For this position we require 2/3 days per week onsite in the Central London office.

What you will do:

• Own & develop backend services in Python and AWS, supporting our Web and Excel-based applications, with a focus on serverless solutions and infrastructure as code
• Architect & optimize AWS serverless infrastructure for scalability and security.
• Lead technical initiatives, collaborating with design & product teams to shape innovative AI-powered features.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Optimize data processing workflows, ensuring performance across all services.
• Mentor & support junior developers, fostering best practices in code quality and system design.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Python backend development.
• 2+ years working with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation, Aurora/PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Strong expertise in serverless architectures & Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience deploying and scaling containerized applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and Agile environments.
• Ability to own solutions end-to-end in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have, But Not Required):

• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and working with LLMs & Gen-AI solutions.
• Security-focused mindset, understanding IAM, encryption, and data privacy best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a mathematical or algorithmic background.
• Prior experience in financial technology, financial data management, or data-heavy applications.
