About the Role
Join a leading specialty insurer as a Senior Software Engineer within their London Market Underwriting team. You’ll collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and engineers to design and implement tools that enhance underwriting efficiency and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop impactful software tools in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Drive technical excellence through Agile and DevOps practices, focusing on incremental delivery and continuous improvement.
• Enhance underwriting insights and optimise workflow processes.

What You’ll Need

• Extensive experience in software development, with experience in frontend frameworks (HTMX/React/Angular), Python, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Strong knowledge of Agile, TDD/BDD, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, microservices, and containerisation. Experience in commercial insurance is a plus.
