Do you aspire to work for an ‘Outstanding’ Local Authority?

We are an experienced team of assessing and supervising social workers who strive to keep families together where possible. Kinship care is growing due to the understanding that children thrive within familiar, safe environments. We undertake a number of Private and Public Law assessments such as viability assessment, connected person assessment, and special guardian assessments to ascertain the most appropriate order for the child and family.

This is a senior social work role. The successful applicant should be an experienced social worker who can undertake difficult and complex family dynamics while keeping the child in focus. They should have good assessment and analytical skills and be able to produce a high standard of court work within court timescales. The role will also provide an opportunity to support the development of newer staff members and supervise support staff. The senior social worker will deputise when the manager is on leave and offer support to the management team, with training, support, and development to both staff and carers.
