We're seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to head up our clients regional personal welfare team in the heart of Yorkshire and North East. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families.

What you'll do:

Lead a Team: Oversee a talented team of social work assistants, providing guidance and support.
Empower Clients: Conduct assessments, offer essential services like welfare benefits advice and advocacy, and provide emotional support.
Drive Innovation: Continuously improve service delivery, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Safeguard and Support: Act as the safeguarding lead, upholding best practices and fostering a supportive team culture.
Build Partnerships: Collaborate with professionals and agencies to deliver seamless support.
Promote Our Mission: Represent our organisation at events and contribute to new service initiatives.

What you'll need:

A social work degree and current professional registration
Proven leadership experience in social care
Expertise in community-based care for older adults and/or individuals with disabilities
In-depth knowledge of welfare benefits and relevant legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle

What is on offer:

Competitive Salary: £40,000 per annum
Flexible Work: Office-based in Pontefract with regular travel (Yorkshire & North East) and one/two remote day per week
