Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Smart Homes Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise and experience with strong leadership to roll-out integrated, user-friendly smart home solutions that transform how people interact with their living spaces.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Projects Manager to be the site-lead to manage project installation life cycle
- Time and workflow management of Engineer(s) and sub-contractors
- Ensure attention to detail and maintain high standards of work
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing deadlines and requirements
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential and commercial smart-home solutions, such as:
- Multi-room AV & Cinema / Media rooms
- Intelligent Lighting & HVAC
- Network
- Security, Intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
- Whole home automation
Required Skillsets
- Cable Testing & Certification of First Fix Cables (Generally Installed by Others)
- Infrastructure Cable Termination & Head End Installation
- Second Fix Installation & Commissioning of the Above Listed Systems
- Rack Planning, Building & Commissioning
- Wired & Wireless Data Networks
- Soft Skills for Customer Handover & System Training
- Fault Finding & Reactive Maintenance (Remote & In Person)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Use of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook etc) is beneficial

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary from £40,000 (depending on experience)
- Company van with fuel card plus company expenses card
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- Company pension
- 20 days paid holiday plus eight days bank holidays per year
- Any working days between Christmas and New Year will be paid
Additional Information
This is an immediate start, full-time field-based role, with an expectation that applicants shall ideally live within the Home Counties (Greater London, Essex, Middlesex, Surrey, Kent and Sussex). It is essential that candidates have a full UK driving licence.
