SITE MANAGER OPPORTUNITY

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager for a Mechanical Engineering Specialist. This role will be based on a new project within the City of London.

The ideal Site Manager candidate will have come through the Mechanical Services trade path and have a clear understanding of the Mechanical Services industry.

Background / Experience / General Overview
  1. Desired experience working within Local authority or central government contracts within London or the surrounding home counties.
  2. Has experience of managing mechanical services projects.
  3. Lives within the M25 or surrounding home counties.
  4. Has experience working on new construction sites as the mechanical subcontractor. Working with Mace as the principal contractor would be an advantage.
  5. Has a desire to take ownership of the role and growth within our company.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Day to day Site Management of construction activities including direct labour and sub-contractors whilst communicating and coordinating key project duties.
  2. Monitoring of the overall progress of works against the agreed construction programme.
  3. Working with the client and own team in managing day to day challenges.
  4. Completing site progress reports and issuing to the Project / Contracts Manager.
  5. Liaising with the commercial team to co-ordinate changes/variations.
  6. Maintaining accurate on-site records of all goods received on a weekly basis ensuring that these (including all delivery notes) are correctly processed.
  7. Management of all Waste transfer, maintaining accurate records for the disposal and separation of waste.
  8. Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are implemented and followed.
  9. Escalating issues to Project / Contract Manager if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  1. Level 4 or above in Construction Management.
  2. Experience and expert knowledge with H&S Legislation.
  3. SMSTS/SSSTS.
  4. Experience setting up new sites.
  5. First Aid at Work.

This Site Manager role has an expected start date in May.
