Job Title: Project Manager/Senior Site Manager
Reporting to: day-to-day Contracts Manager

Our Client:
A creative and forward-thinking design and build company specializing in leisure and family attractions. They are currently building play areas, mini golf courses and complete family attractions in the UK, Europe, Africa, Canada, and the US.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The role of the Project Manager is to ensure the effective management of projects from concept to completion. This will include management of technical design, procurement, programme, and profitability, whilst offering a high level of customer service throughout the project lifecycle to build strong relationships and repeat business clients.

Role in detail:
Once a project is secured the salesperson hands over to a team consisting of a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Technical Designer, Quantity Surveyor, and Project Assistant. The Project Manager will take ultimate responsibility and ownership for the successful delivery of the projects assigned, utilising, and managing the support of other team members all through the use of Procore. They will be resourceful, proactive, and intuitive in overcoming problems and coming up with solutions.

Utilising Procore, the key responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to the following:

  1. Manage the design development from creative to detailed design - this includes recognizing specific areas where additional detail is required for the client or specific suppliers and subcontractors.
  2. Ensure design compliance to all relevant standards in conjunction with the Technical Design team and/or advice from 3rd parties where necessary.
  3. Manage budget and Procurement Schedule.
  4. Compiling enquiry documents and sending to supply chain for pricing.
  5. Negotiate with sub-contractors to create fixed price work packages, minimising financial risk to the business.
  6. Management and delegation of Project Assistant's to assist in the process.
  7. Controlling and reporting on project programme, lead-times and milestones.
  8. Proactively assist with expanding our supply chain.
