We are working with a leading independent civil and highways contractor that delivers civil engineering projects across sectors such as energy and renewable, flood and coastal infrastructure, waste management, private developments, highways, and quarrying. What we are looking for - someone capable of:

1. Manage site engineers and ensure all surveying, setting out, and volume checks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the specification.
2. Interpolating GI data, designs, and specifications to produce accurate quantities & earthworks phasing 3D models.
3. Management of all machine control setup, operation including 3D modelling and on-site accuracy.
4. Maintaining excellent communication and reporting to QA & project manager to ensure compliance with specification testing frequencies based on actual earthwork volumes.
5. Monitoring earthworks progress and accurately reporting weekly volumes to senior management.
6. Mentoring apprentice engineers to ensure career progression and improve skill level.
7. Supporting and promoting innovation and new technology relating to earthwork operations.
8. Ensuring all activities are completed safely in compliance with the company’s health and safety & environmental policies and procedures.
9. Supporting in the preparation of quality, environmental, and H&S construction plans in a timely manner.
10. Supporting the planning, measuring, monitoring, and reviewing of contract progress throughout the project’s lifespan and ensuring the project’s budgets and programme are met.
