About this opportunity

Lloyds Banking Group is aiming to be both the best bank for customers as well as the bank of the future – where we can meet constantly evolving customer needs and help Britain prosper.

A key driver to us achieving this would require a shift towards new approaches to developing the systems and applications that underpin the Bank. We're looking to reduce the overall IT estate while growing its capability by exploiting innovative tools.

What you’ll be doing

Here in the Service Transformation Lab, we're on a mission to transform colleagues' engagement with, and consumption of technology via self-service portals, virtual agents, and the exploitation of AI.

We're achieving this by exploiting the capability of ServiceNow, an industry-leading tool in automating colleagues’ experiences to enhance customer outcomes. Since the implementation of ServiceNow in 2018, we have delivered immense value through the platform, now hosting over 50 business processes spanning ITSM, Employee Centre, Cyber, Change, and Customer Payments…and we're just getting started.

We're seeking a Team Leader with Senior Technical Administrator skills in our Service Transformation Lab who will drive the creation of innovative solutions for our colleagues’ journeys engaging with IT; working in conjunction with our developers, analysts, and Architects across all ServiceNow modules; to design, develop, and support solutions that further platform capability and exploitation as an enterprise suite, in a highly collaborative, Agile environment.

Examples of day-to-day tasks would include:

  • Interpreting user stories and supporting development & implementation through to completion.
  • Implementing new functionality.
  • Working with expert user interface 3rd parties.

Minimum Requirements

We welcome applicants from diverse cultural and technological backgrounds and believe this is critical to success. This is a role in a niche area, so as a minimum to be considered for shortlisting we need to see evidence of the following in your CV:

  • Career Background: You’ll be self-motivated with a consistent track record at a senior level within ServiceNow development and comfortable in the wide-ranging atmosphere of a technical organisation with a rapidly growing customer base.
  • You’ll also demonstrate commercial experience of working within an agile engineering environment.
  • A broad knowledge of ServiceNow modules as this role requires a well-rounded view of platform capability and the way they can interact.
  • Process and solution integration, including an understanding of workflow design/configuration including Event Flow Handler.
  • A solid grasp of API, JSON, MID Servers, and associated technologies that can/do integrate with ServiceNow.
  • Experience of ServiceNow implementations.

Personal Qualities

In terms of personal qualities that we look for when we meet you, we’ll be trying to understand if you are:

  • Decisive, creative, analytical, and proactive thinking with effective communication and relationship management.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and a pragmatic approach.
  • Well organised and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • Share schemes including free shares.
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.
  • Generous holiday allowance, with bank holidays on top.
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies.
