Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Consultant
Location: Remote Working - United Kingdom
Day Rate: £400 (Inside IR35)
Job Type: 6 Month Contract

We have an exciting opportunity available with a leading consultancy in the Software Asset Management sector! They are currently looking for a skilled Senior Consultant - Software Asset Management / ServiceNow to join their team and lead complex SAM and ServiceNow SAM Pro projects for enterprise clients.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will provide expert guidance on SAM processes, vendor licensing, and audit defence, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to internal process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the implementation and operational SAM services on the ServiceNow SAM Pro platform.
  2. Manage audit defence engagements for a variety of publishers.
  3. Understand and implement SAM processes and integrate them with other business areas.
  4. Conduct SAM maturity assessments and implement improvements.
  5. Manage workstreams, projects, and deliveries in a BAU (Business As Usual) context.
  6. Deliver projects and deliverables in line with Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
  7. Contribute to the improvement of methodology and delivery quality.
  8. Scope assessments and schedule deliveries for clients.
  9. Provide specialist guidance to senior client stakeholders on processes, maturity, and vendor licensing.
  10. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and maintain ongoing engagement.
  11. Serve as the point of contact for complex license scenarios and technical design projects.
  12. Create and deliver tier 1 and complex tier 2 vendor effective license positions (ELPs).
  13. Develop senior-level presentations.
  14. Create risk remediation and opportunity realisation plans aligned to the client's business strategy.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  1. Strong experience as a ServiceNow Consultant in the Software Asset Management industry.
  2. Experience implementing and managing ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  3. Proven experience with audit defence engagements.
  4. Experience with at least one tier 1 vendor (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, IBM).
  5. Strong multi-vendor experience across software vendors.
  6. Experience in end-to-end ELP creation and delivery.
  7. Experience in SAM process and maturity assessments.
  8. Strong senior-level presentation skills.
  9. Excellent organisational skills.
  10. Good commercial acumen.
  11. Experience working with senior stakeholders and providing consultancy services.
  12. Strong relationship-building skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  1. ServiceNow Certification: CIS Software Asset Management and System Administrator.
  2. ITIL v3 certification.
  3. Experience in training and mentoring junior staff.
