Job description

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Service Manager for a client of ours based in Stockport. Our client is a large organisation that supports victims of domestic violence.

Location: Stockport
Contract type: FTC 12 months
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £40,515.15 per annum

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Provide operational management and staff line management to the management team, including setting of targets, monitoring, and addressing any performance issues.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of our organisational strategy through the development, implementation and management of our operational plan.
  • Lead strategic engagement with commissioners, local authority stakeholders and other relevant service providers in Stockport.
  • Lead a comprehensive monitoring program for all contracted work, including the preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
  • Lead the service to ensure that both client and staff support meets the highest quality standards.
  • To promote service user participation and consultation.
  • Participate in and extract and apply learning from statutory processes such as Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews and Serious Case Reviews, ensuring the implementation of a continuous improvement program across the delivery team.
  • Ensure that appropriate quality standards are applied, and relevant quality marks are achieved.
  • To work closely with the Management Team to ensure the buildings, facilities and physical infrastructure are safe, secure, physically accessible as possible and maintained.
  • Oversee the development and execution of fundraising strategies, as well as the creation and management of social media strategies to increase visibility and support.
  • Manage and enhance central core recruitment, induction and training processes to ensure consistency and quality in staff onboarding and development.
  • Ensure the preparation of regular reports for various functions including reporting on contracts, evidence of effectiveness, quality assurance to the Board of Trustees and any other relevant reporting structures.
Person Specification
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Safe Lives Service Manager qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of business planning and delivery of services at a senior level.
  • Proven experience of being responsible for delivery of high-quality services at operational level.
  • Experience of leadership and organisational transformation in a complex organisation.
  • Experience in managing and developing a range of projects which demonstrate outcomes and are compliant with contractual performance targets.
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding processes.
  • Proven education in employment practice and legislation; employment practice and key aspects of good HR policy and practice.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to domestic abuse.
