What you will be doing

Responsible for the design, implementation, migration and change of data and security networks across the Vodafone UK and Group networks, and to ensure they remain highly available, secure, compliant and fit for purpose for the organisation's requirements.

  1. Work collaboratively with Vodafone Design and Implementation teams, technical account management, third party suppliers/vendors providing engineering consulting advice on industry best practice and Telecoms network status to support all adds/moves/changes in line with Vodafone's Security and Technology road map.
  2. Responsible for the design and implementation of key Network & Security platforms as well as applications across the Vodafone UK and Group Networks, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and meet customer needs.
  3. Responsible for the migration and change between IT platforms across the entire Vodafone and Group Network, ensuring that they are highly available and secure.
  4. Provide technical direction and support to an on-site engineering team across multiple projects acting as a key member of the technical team, providing expertise to ensure that projects are delivered successfully - meeting key milestones.
  5. Create Statement of Works (SOW) for projects, guiding the work to be undertaken during the specific project, ensuring that the SOW is agreed with the customer and programme leads, and accurately outlining the work to be completed.
  6. Identify and communicate current and emerging security vendors, applications, potential threats and security design gaps within existing systems/platforms, recommending changes to ensure security and networks are fit for purpose.
  7. Have in-depth knowledge about the customer's environment to help challenge thinking and propose solutions that drive value.
  8. Promote security solutions and designs that enhance Ricoh's on-site engineering capability to deliver value for Vodafone.
  9. Work closely with project and account management teams to ensure a collaborative presales cycle and maximize opportunities to provide value and meet/exceed customer requirements.
  10. Support the creation and delivery of proposed solutions and services to the customer that align with their technical strategy, strengthening the relationship between the customer and Ricoh while creating opportunities for additional revenue.
  11. Support growth by seeking/creating opportunities to displace/replace customer and supplier legacy solutions.
