Senior Scientist, Nuclear Waste Management Consultant COR7183A


As a Senior Scientist or Waste Management Consultant with a background in nuclear chemistry and materials science, you will lead and execute research projects for a variety of clients within the UK nuclear sector, focused on improving the efficiency and safety of nuclear processes, especially those relating to nuclear waste and nuclear materials. This role requires a strong understanding of nuclear processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with engineering and client teams.

What's required to be successful in this role?

  1. A degree in a related field such as Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering, with extensive commercial experience of nuclear processes and related chemistry.
  2. Experience of working with companies within the UK nuclear sector.
  3. Experience of leading and executing research projects, especially those related to nuclear waste and materials, including waste sentencing and waste acceptance, BAT studies, etc.
