Lifelancer is seeking a Senior Scientist for Climate Mitigation in Exeter, UK. This hybrid role involves developing climate models and providing policy-relevant climate science. The position is full-time (37 hours/week) but flexible hours are considered. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent experience in climate science.
About The Job
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Scientist Climate Mitigation to help us make a difference to our planet. As our Senior Climate Mitigation Scientist, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, where an employee works part of the week in the office and part from home. This is a voluntary non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Your key duties include:
Essential Criteria Skills And Experience
• A strong background in a relevant scientific field to PhD level or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of climate and earth system science with a publication record supporting delivery of high impact science.
• Good scientific programming skills, for example, python and/or Fortran.
• Strong organisational skills with demonstrated experience of leading planning and organising own work.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex scientific and/or technical information clearly and effectively.
