About the role:
The Application Development team is responsible for defining, building, deploying and maintaining large-scale software solutions for DHL eCommerce UK. We create unique and user-friendly experiences, enabling the smooth delivery of parcels for our customers to our recipients.
- Build excellent working relationships with product owners and senior stakeholders to assist in defining the Salesforce roadmap that must meet strategically-aligned business objectives, while also aligning to the technical, architectural and security standards within DHL at local, divisional and global levels.
- Display your technical experience to deliver successful solutions on the Salesforce platform as a Salesforce Administrator (or Developer with admin experience). Leveraging this experience, you will be confident in gathering business requirements from multiple stakeholders, assisting with the effective prioritisation of backlogs and leading and motivating the agile dev team to complete work inline with estimates and to cost.
- Assist in shaping how the organisation adopts Salesforce following industry best-practice and make recommendations at a technical / architectural level.
- Collaborate very closely with senior stakeholders in the Customer Services, Commercial and Finance areas of the organisation and present to the Executive Team as required.
- As a key senior member of our team, you stay curious, open to change, engaged and abreast of new features on the Salesforce platform.
- Hit agreed Salesforce roadmap objectives on-time and to a high-quality watermark while sharing your technical experience with close colleagues and building solid relationships across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid understanding of Salesforce Platform key concepts / best practice and confidence in recommending the use of out-of-the-box solutions (or Apex / Visualforce where required) to meet business requirements.
- Leading / influencing the technical direction of large, complex, cross-functional solutions.
- Experience in the advanced configuration of Salesforce, including custom objects, validation, workflows and approvals.
- Knowledge of development using Visualforce, Lightning Components, Apex classes / triggers and providing / challenging estimations.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, JSON and API integration.
- Technical writing ability to support requirements gathering, solution design, use cases, test plans and documentation for training.
- Conducted code reviews and architectural design reviews.
- Experience with agile tools and methodology.
- Experience in automation, continuous integration and managing deployments using DevOps process and tooling.
- Ability to establish and implement best practice within Salesforce regarding configuration, development, test, security, maintenance and data integrity.
