We are seeking experienced Senior Sales professionals to join the team at Dover Street Market. You will be responsible for the creation and subsequent retention of new relationships with clients both in store and internationally, as well as introducing to DSM existing clientele of which you already hold relationships with. By offering the very best customer service and by consistently meeting clients' needs and expectations, you will aim to achieve and exceed the Company's key financial targets.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- EOD Reporting - a succinct reflection of the day - consisting of: Vibe of the Space/Interesting Sales/Missed Opportunities or Prospects/Insights into the brands that are being shopped/Actions/Handover.
- Engaging with the wider store team/VIP team through dedicated styling packs - working in accordance with the VIP stylist team and tailoring specific material to be used in order to engage with various client profiles.
- Liaising with Merchandise team - prepared to provide buying feedback at the end of the season or during buying trips to ensure an informed buy. Maintain a consistent, weekly correspondence with the respective buyers/assistant buyers.
- Ownership of VMD/Replenishment/BOH standards - ensuring the rest of the floor/store team are understanding of the expectations set.
- Sales performance (individual/space targets).
- Ensuring the best levels of customer service at all times.
- Ensuring that customers are added to the DSM Database.
- Involved with staff training and ongoing presentations to store with product updates.
- Hosting or supporting with brand specific events.
- Act as a general brand ambassador - expertise in the various brands, space and product - additionally understanding of trends that would affect the brands in a positive/negative way.
The Ideal Candidate
Attitude:
- A highly motivated and competent individual able to converse confidently at all levels both internally and externally with staff and clientele.
- A total self-starter able to set the standard by their own professionalism and attitude.
- Comfortable working in a super-fast paced environment.
- Holding and showing the capacity to support less experienced team members with sales conversion. Having the ability to be a supportive and professional mentor and leading by example.
- Must be energetic, self-motivated and self-organised.
- Structured and organised, but nonetheless be approachable and have a flexible outlook.
- Willingness to work hard and always have the intention to drive the business forward.
- Being able to work on several tasks at a time.
- Be capable to work to deadlines / ability to prioritise / optimal time management.
Skills / Knowledge:
- At least 3 years in high-end/luxury retail or relevant brand experience is advantageous.
- Specific understanding of not only DSM but CDG brands, aesthetic, consumer.
- Ability to clientele at a high level and set a clear example for other members of DSM sales team.
- Specific understanding of all collections, stock availability at DSM, experience with similar brands is preferential.
- Client book of potential new business for DSM.
- Knowledge of Retail Pro/Prism (Not essential).
