Job description

From timekeeping to software development, broadcast engineering and content creation, we are truly the 11th Formula 1 team!

Reporting to the Head of Original Content, Media Rights, the role will focus on managing licensing for archive material, programming, on-site content capture, and other ancillary requests from external stakeholders, including production companies, major distribution firms, and outlets of all sizes.

The ideal candidate will be available for a fixed term contract of 7 months from mid May and have extensive experience working in a media rights or other content distribution fields including broadcasting, digital platforms and sports/media agencies.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the licensing of all archive material, archive programming, on-site content capture, and any other ancillary requests from a diverse range of external stakeholders, including production companies, major distribution firms, and outlets of all sizes, encompassing initial enquiries, information gathering, negotiating terms, drafting and finalising contracts, servicing those contracts, and providing ongoing support and management.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for various key internal stakeholders from a media rights perspective, including teams across all championships and series, the FIA and some key partners, while building and maintaining strong relationships and supporting with any queries, as well as reviewing, agreeing to and facilitating any requests that they may have.
  • Proactively identify, create, and cultivate new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand existing revenue streams through innovative strategies and relationship building, while also ensuring the consistent meeting and achievement of sales targets.
  • Create, manage and update various media rights documents in collaboration with the Legal Department, including drafting comprehensive templates and memos, social media guidelines, and waivers and facilitate their circulation and training internally to ensure all departments are well informed and consistently utilise these documents effectively and correctly.
  • Cross functional management and collaboration with various internal departments, including Finance, Post-Production, Accreditation, Compliance, and Brand Protection, to ensure seamless coordination on tasks and any requests that they may have, such as invoicing, payments and finance summaries, preparation and delivery of archive materials and programming, event credentials and on-site content capture arrangements, client questionnaires, and correct use of our marks and intellectual property.
  • Manage and develop a Sales & Accounts, Junior Account Executive by providing strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to ensure effective performance, achievement of targets, and identifying and fostering career development opportunities that align with their professional growth and the overall goals of the team.
