Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Senior Risk Manager on behalf of a tier-1 investment bank in Belfast.


Rate: £630/day umbrella - 6-month initial contract


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and propose steps to strengthen the bank's systems of control and governance for the adequate protection of the Equities Senior Manager and legal entity governance.
  2. Drive the control framework evolution, and devise and deliver solutions to sufficiently mitigate existing and new emerging risks.
  3. Assist Equities to embed an effective governance structure for oversight of activities that impact legal entities while maintaining documentation of Senior Manager responsibilities.
  4. Support EMEA Risk and Control MI, Governance, reporting and escalations.
  5. Work with the team in the monitoring of adherence to policy requirements and supervisory controls.
  6. Assist in the coordination of issues remediation across the EMEA Equities businesses.
  7. Maintain control documentation needed for the various internal, external and regulatory reviews.
  8. Work with Business Unit Management to deliver new control initiatives.
  9. Interact with the Markets Central Risk & Control teams, Compliance, Internal Audit and other control functions to drive forward control enhancement initiatives and investigate control failures.
  10. Facilitate and as required participate in ad-hoc reviews and regulatory / supervisory examinations of the wider business.
