Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join us at the Regulator of Social Housing.

The role will focus on the delivery of a wide range of analytical projects on key strategic issues affecting the social housing sector, to ensure that delivery of regulation supports us in achieving our purpose and objectives.

At the Regulator of Social Housing, we are in a period of change and transformation as from 1st April we have extended our remit, giving us additional powers and responsibilities around the importance of safe, decent homes for social housing tenants and of social housing landlords being transparent and accountable to their tenants. Job Description:

Working as a key member of the Business Intelligence team, you will work on the delivery of a range of analytical projects, including both qualitative and quantitative research solutions focused on a range of strategic issues and risks to ensure that the delivery of regulation supports the regulator in achieving its purpose and objectives.

The role will also include the commissioning and management of external analytical research, to support in shaping and improving policy and operational decision making. You will engage with the content of key strategic issues and will support colleagues from across the Strategy function to achieve a coordinated approach in the delivery of important projects. You will manage the procurement process for a range of analytical projects, including the preparation of project briefs and specifications, communicating the needs and expectations of the projects to external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate you have strong experience of delivering high quality research and analysis and will have strong communication skills, covering both quantitative and qualitative information, with the ability to effectively communicate technical conclusions to a wide range of audiences. You should also have experience of commissioning analytical projects, including management of the procurement process.

Location:

We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working. This role can be based out of any of RSH’s core offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester or Leeds. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices.
